Lots of big, somewhat disturbing news today:

This is just weird, but could be something:

These are all potentially related events.  If North Korea becomes an official confirmed nuclear power, that changes the whole balance of power in Asia.  There are also possible issues of transfer of technology, if not a bomb, to Iran.  Iran shutting down it's people's access to the outside world is very concerning- Remember, information is power- and the Mullahs want to control the information. 

The Woman who was caught with explosive reside (I think that's all it was) could have been part of an attempt to test our airport security by terrorists, or simply an attempt by the terrorists to throw the whole security thing into overdrive, and making everone lose patience.

The thing in Hawaii is almost a complete unknown at this time, but you never know.

Oh, yeah, August 22nd is coming very soon, too.  I'm a tad nervous about it- I think Iran plans something, but who knows how big it'll be.

Many probably have already heard about the "cloned smoke" Reuters photograph from Beirut.  Turns out this stuff is legion.  Here's another one of many examples.

Sure, you can easily dismiss a bad photographer, but where in God's name is the critical analysis by the editors??   This is proof in my book of a bias in today's "news" reporting.  I'll let you debate if you think it's conscious or not.

According to this analysis, Iran is rapidly losing it's proxy force against the "Little Satan", our Ally Israel.

Turns out they really are bad, nasty dudes.   They don't deserve "torture", but they do deserve less-than-Geneva treatment.   As illegal combatants, they aren't entitled to Geneva level treatment anyhow.

I was pretty moved by Mel Gibson's movie "The Passion of the Christ", though I thought the violence was a little over-the-top.  I didn't think the movie was overtly Anti-Jewish any more than it was Anti-Roman or Anti-Anybody.

However, this story about a drunk Mel Gibson does raise questions about his nuetrality on the issue.  I was a little sceptical about this story when I first read it, but it seems be be true.  Sad.  Very Sad.

I'm sure you all heard about this by now.

It happened less than 1/2 mile from where I work, I could see the police cars when I was heading home. 

It's kinda scary when stuff like this happens so close to hope. 

Pray for the victims, and for peace to prevail for the Jewish people.
